Continuing to Grow as an Artist: Crystal Hunt

Crystal Hunt, born February 5, 1985, is a Emmy-nominated actress. Facebook shows Hunt grew up in Clearwater, Florida where she would often participate in pageants. Before fame, Hunt also appeared in an advertisement with NSYNC when she was younger.

Hunt, who is now 31 years old, first captured America’s attention when she was 17 years old. Her first major role was when she appeared as a troubled, misguided teenage girl on CBS’s daytime series Guiding Light, which she starred in for four years. She was offered this role when she was spotted by an agent at an actor workshop in New York. It was this role from which she earned an Emmy nomination from. Hunt got her big break into motion pictures when she appeared with Zac Efron in The Derby Stallion. After she left Guiding Light, she costarred with Amanda Bynes in the romantic comedy, Sydney White.

In 2009, Hunt returned to T.V. shows as a star on ABC’s Days of Our Lives, where to stayed for three years. On Days of Our Lives, Hunt played a devious stripper named Stacy Morasco. In 2013, Hunt starred in a suspense/thriller, NYC Underground. She costarred along side Dania Ramirez, Arielle Kebbel and Evan Ross.

Hunt joined Dylan Baker in his debut feature film 23 Blast, a real-life story of a high school football player who becomes blind; the film was realeased in October of 2014. Stephen Lang, Timothy Busfield and Dylan Baker, himself, are just a few of the great actors who Hunt appeared alongside.

Aired in April 2015, Hunt was a part of Queens of Drama, which followed a powerful cast of former daytime stars as they worked in front of and behind the cameras to create and produce a new primetime drama. Donna Mills and Vanessa Marcil are just a couple of the outstanding female cast that joined Hunt in this venture.

In addition to her acting career, Crystal Hunt is currently working on her first Executive Producer credit with the film Talbot County, an Alfred Hitchcockian horror film inspired by a true story. Hunt is working on this with her best friend, Dania Ramirez (Devious Maids). Hunt has also recently had her feature film debut in Magic Mike XXL (released in theaters July 1, 2015), where she worked alongside Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Amber Heard, Adam Rodriguez and Joe Maginello.
